The Kent program became an official member of the Music4Life™ family on November 29, 2018.

The founding chair of the Kent Music4Life Booster Club is Linda Mackintosh of Coldwell Banker Bain. At start, eleven other Kent community leaders are members of the Kent Music4Life Booster Club, including Hira Bhullar, Christine Corbley, Brenda Farwell, Don Gregory, Allyson Johnson, Kate Matos, John Oliver, Skip Rowland, Chris White, Harry Williams and Marge Williams. Anyone in the Kent area who shares our values for “kids,” “instrumental music” or “education” is welcome to join the booster club.

Kent Superintendent Calvin Watts, PhD, supports the Kent Music4Life program saying “I am excited about this team effort, and I believe this Arts initiative has the potential to dramatically improve the quality of life for students, families, and the broader community.”

Calvin Watts, PhD, Kent School District Superintendent

Start-up funding support of $1,000 each for the Kent Music4Life Booster Club comes from the Rotary Club of Kent (lunch) and the Kent Arts Commission. Other grant applications are in-process. The booster club has set a first year goal of $10,000 that is expected to come from other local service organizations, local foundations, Kent companies and individuals.
