Difficult Times
"Told that a new federal program was likely to succeed in the long run, he (Harry Hopkins, President Franklin Roosevelt’s top aide) said, 'That’s not good enough. People don’t eat in the long run.'"
Feeding people and other emergencies during the current coronavirus health crisis are of compelling importance. We recommend supporting Northwest Harvest and Harvest Against Hunger (formerly Rotary First Harvest). We ask everyone to dig a little deeper to support them. Eventually, we expect to get through this mess. Once on the other side of it, we’re certain that the need by our kids for ready-to-play musical instruments will be just as important as it ever has been.
If you don’t really need your recently received federal stimulus check, consider donating it to Music4Life so we can continue providing donated-and-repaired musical instruments for use by students in-need. Just click on the “Donate Money” link below and follow the prompts.
Music4Life™ provides donated and repaired musical instruments at no charge to public school districts for use by students in need.
We do this because research shows that children who participate in instrumental music activities do better in numerous academic areas and because we believe that instrumental music can and does save lives. It is a gift that we feel passionately about passing on to future generations.
We believe that every child should have the opportunity to enhance their education through music. Music education affords myriad benefits throughout life, and we aspire to provide opportunities for all children to reap those benefits.
